Application

If you meet the entry requirements (or expect to do so before 1 September 2012), we welcome your application.

Early admission

The earlier you submit your application, the sooner you will know whether or not you are granted admission to the programme of your choice (see schedule below).

The deadline for application for Research Master programmes is 15 May 2012. On that date you must have registered in Studielink and the required documents need to be at the university. Applications arriving after the deadline will not be taken into consideration.

If you have not obtained the required degree yet, but expect to do so before 1 September 2012, you must also apply before 15 May 2012. In that case you might be eligible for a conditional offer.

Application Procedure

STEP 1

Apply before 15 May 2012 for enrolment via Studielink (www.studielink.nl), the Dutch national application and registration system for students. Your data will be transmitted to Erasmus University for further verification and evaluation.

Immediately continue with step 2.

STEP 2

Send the following documents to the Examiniation Board of the Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication as soon as possible, but make sure we receive them no later than 15 May 2012:

  1. Completed Application Form Research Master 2012-2013.
  2. Copy of your passport’s date page and photo page (NOT for Erasmus University students).
  3. Certified (translated) copies of higher education degree(s) and transcript(s)of records. *
  4. Curriculum Vitae.
  5. Letter of motivation (max. 1000 words).
  6. Two letters of recommendation.
  7. Official TOEFL or IELTS score (if applicable).
  8. Copy of secondary or language test results.
  9. Bachelor’s thesis or essay that is representative of your academic writing and analytical skills.

* If you have not obtained your Bachelor’s degree yet you must send a recent transcript of records (an official overview of the courses, credits and grades). Beware that your diploma reaches us ultimately 1 August 2012.
