Study Abroad
Going abroad during your study is an informative adventure. It adds an extra dimension to the program you take as a bachelor's, master's or research master's student at Erasmus University. You will improve your language skills and learn more about the culture and educational system of the country you're visiting. Doing part of your coursework abroad is the best way to see how people in other parts of the world live and learn, and to further extend your international network.
The Department of Media & Communication encourages its students to spend a study period abroad. We aim to offer all our bachelor, master and research master students the possibility to do part of their coursework at a foreign university.
- IBCoM students have the opportunity to study abroad in the first semester (term 1-2) of their third year.
- Master students in Media Studies can spend a study period abroad during the second semester (term 3-4) of their master's.
- Research master students in the Sociology of Culture, Media and the Arts can study abroad during the first semester (term 1-2) of their second year.
On this website you will find a wealth of information about the opportunities for going abroad during your bachelors or masters. Please make sure to also check the University's Study abroad website, which offers additional information about grants, checklists and preparation.
