Biographical Note

Robbert-Jan Adriaansen (1982) studied History at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

He graduated cum laude in 2006 on his thesis Tussen ervaring en herinnering: generaties and geschiedschrijving.

After his graduation, Adriaansen worked as a history and geography teacher in secondary education. He also worked on projects of the European Standing Conference of History Teachers' Associations (Euroclio) and the Zeeland Institute for Social and Cultural Development (Scoop).

Since January 2008, he is in office as a PhD student at the Center for Historical Culture (CHC) at Erasmus University.
