Rhythma Kapoor joined the Department of Media & Communication at Erasmus University in February 2011. She works as a lecturer for the International Bachelor's Program in Communication and Media.
After completing her M.A. Communication and Media Studies (M.A., 2005, cum laude) from the University of Leeds (UK), she moved to Freiburg, Germany. Since 2005 she has been teaching courses on intercultural communication, globalization, new media and cultural industries, media and communication theory for various undergraduate degree programs in Freiburg. Her fields of interests include critical theories of mass media culture, media production research, media industries and cultural labor as well as new media theory.
As part of the International Bachelor's Program in Communication and Media (IBCoM), she will be teaching the following courses: Introduction to Human Communication, Cultural Influences on Communication, Media Processes & Influences, Communication Management workshop, and the Cross National Comparative Research workshop.
