Piet Hein Coebergh, DBA
Piet Hein Coebergh is a Lecturer in the Department of Media & Communication at Erasmus University. In the International Bachelor Communication & Media (IBCoM), he teaches Communication and Organizations (CM1014) and Public Relations and Transparency (CM2069). Next to teaching at Erasmus since 2017, Piet Hein teaches various communication courses at the University of Applied Sciences Leiden since 2011. There he also holds a chair as Lector (Professor in applied sciences) in Public Relations and Social media. He combines his work at these universities with management consulting on behalf of Coebergh Communicatie & PR. This Amsterdam based boutique agency since 1997 specializes in developing and implementing PR strategies for love brands and innovators.
Piet Hein (co-)authored seven books of which the last two are in use as teaching material at the University of Applied Sciences Leiden. His (English) textbook 100+ Management Models: How to Understand and Apply the World's Most Powerful Business Tools (McGrawHill, 2014), written with professor Fons Trompenaars of VU University Amsterdam, offers an overview of the key features and potential applications of the most important models in sustainability, innovation, strategy, diversity, customers, human resources, benchmarking, leadership, and implementation. His (Dutch) textbook De Communicatieprofessional - Een inleiding tot theorie en praktijk van het beroepenveld (Noordhoff, 2015) connects communication theories with business needs.
Piet Hein earned his Master in Business Administration and Doctorate in Business Administration at the University of Bradford School of Management. Earlier he earned a Master degree in Law and a Master degree in Public administration at the University of Amsterdam, after a Bachelor in Business Administration at Nyenrode University and the European University Antwerp. His dissertation Voluntary Disclosure of Corporate Strategy: Determinants and Outcomes - An Empirical Study into the Risks and Payoffs of Communicating Corporate Strategy is since 2012 the basis for publishing a yearly analysis and ranking of annual reports of publicly listed companies in the Netherlands.
