Liesbeth de Strooper MA
Lecturer / PhD Candidate
Liesbeth De Strooper (Leuven, 1988) joined the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies in September 2011 as a lecturer and PhD candidate. Her PhD will focus on the market for impressionist and post-impressionist art for the period 1886-2014, with special attention for the auction market.
Liesbeth received a BA and MA in Art History from the University of Leuven (2010) and a MA in Cultural Economics and Cultural Entrepreneurship from the Erasmus University Rotterdam (2011).
In 2014-2015, she will be teaching the minor course Kunst, Cultuur en Geschiedenis, and will be supervising tutorial groups for the courses History of Arts and Culture, Introduction to the economics of arts and culture and International art markets in context.
