Biographical Note

From 2011-2014 Indira studied Communication and Information Sciences (CIW) at Utrecht University. During her bachelor studies she became more and more interested in media-related topics and decided to specialize in that direction. She wrote her bachelor thesis on the use of apps in public transportation and the way this influences people’s experience of physical mobility and traveling. After graduating in 2014, she continued her studies at Erasmus University in the Master’s programme Media Studies: Media & Cultuur. She wrote her master thesis on the sharing economy and its rejecters. During both her bachelor and master studies, Indira worked as a freelancer with her own web design and development company and gained experience with online communication, marketing and strategy.

In December 2014, Indira started working at Erasmus University as Student Assistant Web Editor & Content Manager at the Erasmus Research Centre for Media, Communication and Culture (ERMeCC). In September 2015, she started working in a different position in the Department of Media and Communication as IBCoM Programme Coordinator.
