dr. Vasiliki Tsagkroni
Vasiliki is a lecturer at the Department of Media & Communication of Erasmus University Rotterdam. She completed her PhD thesis in political science at Queen Mary, University of London. Her area of research is political communication and the use of marketing and branding in politics, focusing on the interaction between communication strategies and political parties. She is the Membership & Outreach Officer of the Greek Politics Specialist Group (GPSG) of the Political Studies Association (PSA) and her main research interests include political marketing and branding, political communication and social media, comparative politics, political participation, research methods, politics and international relations, politics and history, EU politics, populism, climate change. Her teaching experience covers both undergraduate and pre-university levels of study.
Before joining the team of Erasmus School of History, Culture and Communication she has gained experience in a wide range of organisational and managerial positions including the National Hellenic Research Foundation (EIE) and has developed her teaching skills in an academic environment while working at Bournemouth University and Queen Mary, University of London. Her research experience extends in various universities, among others Queen Mary University London, Keele University, Leicester University. Vasiliki obtained a BA in Political Science and History and an MA in Political Science, both at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences, Athens, Greece.
